We have been busy!

I know... it's been a long time since my last blog. We have been sooo busy! Our trip to Big Sur was awesome! We all had such a great time and Kellan did so well camping! We have all decided to make it a yearly event! After leaving the camp grounds on Sunday, Allison, Rob, Charlie, Kellan & I decided to drive south for a while and have lunch at Whale Watcher Cafe. After lunch, we headed back north and drove through Carmel. We went to the Carmel Mission and drove past Mission Ranch Inn, which is owned by Clint Eastwood. It was sooo pretty! Then, we drove to Monterey and had dinner at the Fisherman's Wharf. Can't wait until our camping trip next year!



So much has gone on...

It's been a while since my last blog...and so much has gone on! Kellan has experienced his 1st cold. I got sick first, but I thought it was allergies. So a few days later, Kellan was sick too! And then a few days after that Rob got sick. So we were all sick from the Summer cold that was going around everywhere. It took like a week and a half to get over it, but now we are all good and healthy again!


Last Saturday, Kellan started getting up on his knees and holding on to the top of the crib. Then on Monday, we found him standing up in his crib. Now all he wants to do is stand up where ever he is. On the coach, in the crib, by the ottoman, in his pack and play.... everywhere! He is sooo cute when he does it. He giggles and laughs and has the biggest smile.

Last Saturday, Kellan got to spend time with his Fairy Godmother Lizzie! We had so much fun with her! We love her sooo much and we are soo happy that she is in our lives!

Jayme has been watching Kellan a few times and it has been so nice that our boys are getting some buddy time! They are sooo cute together. I'm so thankful that she can watch him! She has been a life saver!! Here are some pictures of Kellan & Keaton playing and having fun!

Super Yummy Dip....

So we had Andrew's birthday party to go to, and we had to bring an appitizer. Rob said to look in his mom's cookbook for the artichoke dip. It wasn't the one he thought it was, but this one was sooo good and it was a big hit at the party! Lucky for me it was super easy to make! So here is the recipe:

8oz. cream cheese

2 oz. frozen artichoke hearts

1/3 cup grated parmesan 

1 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley

2 tsp. fresh lemon juice

1/2 tsp. of each salt & black pepper

1 small garlic clove- finely chopped

In a food processor bowl, combine all ingrendents and  blend together. Make sure the artichoke breaks into small pieces. Make 1 1/2 cups.

I made 2 servings and served with cut up bread and crackers.

I am sooo happy that we have Carol's Cookbook! I can't wait to try more recipes from her cookbook!

So Kellan is crawling!

Kellan has been on his hands and knees for a little while now, and the time has finally come... He is mobile! He does a crawl scoot, and he is everywhere.... and fast! Its hard to keep up with him! I can only imagine what it is like when he starts to walk!! He is also sitting up too! Most of the time when he sits up, he ends up sucking on his toes! It is sooo cute!! He makes me that happiest person when he smiles!!

We wanted to show a little love to his Grandma Carol... We miss her sooo much and we know she is watching over us everyday! We will tell Kellan all the wonderful things about Grandma Carol. Kellan was loved sooo much by Grandma Carol before he was born. She gave us this really cute sleeper with bears all over it. Kellan wore it all the time, and now that he is grown out if it, we will keep it forever. We love you Grandma Carol and we know that Kellan would have loved you soo much too!

Solid Foods!

So we have started Kellan on Solid Foods!! I am making all his baby food myself, just so I know what is it the food. And its sooo much cheaper! We started with bananas and feed him each food for about 4 days. Now he has eaten banana, zucchini and pear. I just made peach for him today. He has taken to all the food really good... He also is eating rice cereal in the morning after his 1st bottle. He is taking to that too! I am just amazed that he is old enough to be eating solids! We also bough him a started chair, called the bumbo. Its works perfect because it helps supports him to sit up and when he wants to gnaw on some thing, its foam so he loves to suck on it.

One of my best friends is starting a organic baby food company and I want to give her a little recognition! Jayme has a new baby boy, Keaton, who is 2 months older than Kellan. She is such a great mother and has a passion for feeding Keaton healthy baby food! Any one who doesn't have the time to make there own baby food, and like to know whats in there baby food is all natural... Please buy Kama'e Baby! Her number is 209-483-0497! Call her!!

Kellan is getting close to crawling!!

So on Saturday, Kellan got on his hands and knees! I couldn't believe it! Since then, all he wants to do is be on his hands and knees. He had been scooting around every where. We are sooo proud of our little boy!!!

Kellan is 4 months!!

So our little man turned 4 months on July 8th! He has the cutest personality too! At his 4 month Dr. visit he weighed 15 lbs 8 oz and was 26 1/2 inches long! He is growing like a weed!! I am loving every new thing he is learning!

We have started taking Kellan swimming!! He does pretty well, but only if he is in the water with Rob or I. He even kicks too! Its sooo cute!

We also had a 4th of July Party since my cousin Heather and her 2 kids, David & Missy were in town from Oregon! It was really great to see everyone! And we were sooo happy to show off our little man!! Kellan did pretty well for having all those people around.

New work hours

So I have finally changed my work hours after 4 1/2 years at UPS. I was working the 330 am - 900 am Preload shift, and now I am working 4 pm - 930 pm shift. Rob and I are sooo happy for the change to finally happen! We never got to see each other between both of our crazy schedules! It will be better on Kellan too!

Our little man is growing up!

Kellan is getting so big and he is getting sooo heavy! He will be 3 months on June 8th! He has learn to grab at things, roll over from his back and he even took his first swim today....well almost...It was more like wading in the pool...but close enough! Kellan is doing lots of tummy time because anytime we put him down, he's rolling onto his stomach. Rob and I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful little boy who brings us joy everyday! I don't know how I ever lived without Kellan! Here are some recent pictures of just how cute he is getting! I am trying to video Kellan rolling, so hopefully that will be up soon!
