Spending Sunday with Allison

This past Sunday, we helped Alison pick up some furniture for her new apartment. We decided to make a trip and go by Eric's and Auntie Maryanne & Uncle John's House too in Tiburon. What a fun trip! We spent a few hours at Eric's new apartment. He was wonderful and he feed us yummy food!!! Then we headed to Auntie Maryanne's & Uncle John's house. Johnny & his son was there with Uncle John. It was a really nice visit and we hope to go back soon! Then we went to go pick up Alison's Furniture. After that, we headed back to Davis to unload everything into Alison's apartment. We stayed a while a found that Kellan likes to play with Christmas lights! He has such a fun time!! I can't wait to go back to Davis and spend more time with Alison!

Kellan at his 9 month check up

Kellan is such a growing boy! Kellan is 20 lbs 2.5 ounces and 29.75 inches tall. He even got his 1st Flu shot and didn't even cry! I teared up more than he did!! He is such a tough little boy!

Our trip to Apple Hill

We decided to get our Christmas tree this yeat at Apple Hill. Apple Hill is super close to Placerville. It super cute and has all these farms. Rob, Charlie, Kellan & I drove to Davis 1st to pick up Alison at her new apartment. Then we were off to Apple Hill! We got to the tree farm and started looking! There were sooo many great trees! Someone came and cut down out tree and we loaded it into the truck. Then we went and took a train ride with Santa! We went around the lake. Kellan loved looking around at everything. Then we headed off to Boa Farms for some apple cider and anything apple to eat. Before we left, I bought a sour cream apple pie. I baked it when I got home and it was soooo good! We have now started a tradition and I can't wait to go next year to get our tree!!

Madison is here!!!

Congrats Matt & Marcy! Im sooo excited to meet little Madison! She will be loved by so many people. Being a mother is the most amazing job in the world and I know Marcy is going to do awesome! I can't wait for our little playdates with all the kids!

Night Three

Night three was even better! He only cried for about 5 minutes and I didn't hear a peep from him until 8 am. When I got up to make his bottle, he stopped crying and fell back asleep. So I decided to take advantage of the situation and go back to bed. He slept for another 2 hours and woke up at 10 am. What a morning! Im loving all the sleep I am finally getting!!! Rob & I do miss sleeping with him, but it is so nice to get some sleep finally.

Night One!!

So we have decided to put Kellan back into his crib in his own room. Ever since I house sat and he slept with me in bed, we couldn't get him back into his crib once we got home. It has been such a struggle sleeping in bed with such a wiggle worm. I loved being close to him, but Rob & I were NOT sleeping. So last night was the 1st night we let him cry it out... and it wasn't so bad. He really only cried for about 20 minutes and every once in a while. This will be sooo much better for all of us!

Kellan has 2 teeth!!

After all the drooling... Kellan finally popped out 2 teeth on the bottom. They are soooo cute! Kellan has been gnawing on everything. His little teeth are so sharp.  I have been trying to get a picture of his little teeth, but I can't seem to get a picture at the right moment. He doesn't look like such a baby anymore with his teeth. He is so close to walking too. He is crawling everwhere around the house. He loves bath time and any time he hears water in the bathroom, he crawls to the bath tub. Hr is just getting soo big!

San Francsico for the day...

Rob, Lizzie, Kellan and I decided to come to San Francisco for a Sand Castle Contest at Ocean Beach. We thought it was going a professional event, but when we got there, it was mostly kids. It was really neat seeing all of the kids work together making big sand castles. After that, we decided to venture out into the city. We went to the Hard Wear Store, Stonestown Mall, Lunch at Pasquale's, and then ended the day with the Disney Museum. The Disney Musem was really neat! It was not just Disneyland, but the life of Walt Disney.

We have been busy!

I know... it's been a long time since my last blog. We have been sooo busy! Our trip to Big Sur was awesome! We all had such a great time and Kellan did so well camping! We have all decided to make it a yearly event! After leaving the camp grounds on Sunday, Allison, Rob, Charlie, Kellan & I decided to drive south for a while and have lunch at Whale Watcher Cafe. After lunch, we headed back north and drove through Carmel. We went to the Carmel Mission and drove past Mission Ranch Inn, which is owned by Clint Eastwood. It was sooo pretty! Then, we drove to Monterey and had dinner at the Fisherman's Wharf. Can't wait until our camping trip next year!

So much has gone on...

It's been a while since my last blog...and so much has gone on! Kellan has experienced his 1st cold. I got sick first, but I thought it was allergies. So a few days later, Kellan was sick too! And then a few days after that Rob got sick. So we were all sick from the Summer cold that was going around everywhere. It took like a week and a half to get over it, but now we are all good and healthy again!

Last Saturday, Kellan started getting up on his knees and holding on to the top of the crib. Then on Monday, we found him standing up in his crib. Now all he wants to do is stand up where ever he is. On the coach, in the crib, by the ottoman, in his pack and play.... everywhere! He is sooo cute when he does it. He giggles and laughs and has the biggest smile.

Last Saturday, Kellan got to spend time with his Fairy Godmother Lizzie! We had so much fun with her! We love her sooo much and we are soo happy that she is in our lives!

Jayme has been watching Kellan a few times and it has been so nice that our boys are getting some buddy time! They are sooo cute together. I'm so thankful that she can watch him! She has been a life saver!! Here are some pictures of Kellan & Keaton playing and having fun!

Super Yummy Dip....

So we had Andrew's birthday party to go to, and we had to bring an appitizer. Rob said to look in his mom's cookbook for the artichoke dip. It wasn't the one he thought it was, but this one was sooo good and it was a big hit at the party! Lucky for me it was super easy to make! So here is the recipe:
8oz. cream cheese
2 oz. frozen artichoke hearts
1/3 cup grated parmesan
1 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
1/2 tsp. of each salt & black pepper
1 small garlic clove- finely chopped

In a food processor bowl, combine all ingrendents and  blend together. Make sure the artichoke breaks into small pieces. Make 1 1/2 cups.

I made 2 servings and served with cut up bread and crackers.

I am sooo happy that we have Carol's Cookbook! I can't wait to try more recipes from her cookbook!

So Kellan is crawling!

Kellan has been on his hands and knees for a little while now, and the time has finally come... He is mobile! He does a crawl scoot, and he is everywhere.... and fast! Its hard to keep up with him! I can only imagine what it is like when he starts to walk!! He is also sitting up too! Most of the time when he sits up, he ends up sucking on his toes! It is sooo cute!! He makes me that happiest person when he smiles!!

We wanted to show a little love to his Grandma Carol... We miss her sooo much and we know she is watching over us everyday! We will tell Kellan all the wonderful things about Grandma Carol. Kellan was loved sooo much by Grandma Carol before he was born. She gave us this really cute sleeper with bears all over it. Kellan wore it all the time, and now that he is grown out if it, we will keep it forever. We love you Grandma Carol and we know that Kellan would have loved you soo much too!

Solid Foods!

So we have started Kellan on Solid Foods!! I am making all his baby food myself, just so I know what is it the food. And its sooo much cheaper! We started with bananas and feed him each food for about 4 days. Now he has eaten banana, zucchini and pear. I just made peach for him today. He has taken to all the food really good... He also is eating rice cereal in the morning after his 1st bottle. He is taking to that too! I am just amazed that he is old enough to be eating solids! We also bough him a started chair, called the bumbo. Its works perfect because it helps supports him to sit up and when he wants to gnaw on some thing, its foam so he loves to suck on it.

One of my best friends is starting a organic baby food company and I want to give her a little recognition! Jayme has a new baby boy, Keaton, who is 2 months older than Kellan. She is such a great mother and has a passion for feeding Keaton healthy baby food! Any one who doesn't have the time to make there own baby food, and like to know whats in there baby food is all natural... Please buy Kama'e Baby! Her number is 209-483-0497! Call her!!
