October 2024 Club Couture™ shipment includes the Gumdrop Buttons Chalk Transfer® design; a Gingerbread Cookie Chubby; and a Bark, Camel, and Peachy Keen Chalkology® Paste Singles.
1. Cut along the provided lines to separate individual elements from the Transfer.
2. Knead the Chalkology Paste Singles. Cut the paste singles open and squeeze the desired amount of paste onto a Color Tray, using a new tray for each color.
3. Remove the Transfer Backer Sheet from the gingerbread cookie Transfer element and “fuzz” the Transfer on a Fuzzing Cloth. Place the Transfer on the Chubby. Smooth it out to ensure that it has properly adhered and there are no bubbles or wrinkles.
4. Generously apply paste over the Transfer using a squeegee (see “Color and Placement Suggestions), and then remove the Transfer element. Allow time for the paste to dry, or you may use a Quick Dry Tool to expedite the drying process.
5. Immediately clean the Transfer element with cool water (do not let it soak). Dry the Transfer flat with the sticky side up. Once dry, reapply the Transfer Backer Sheet and store flat.
6. When the paste on the Chubby is dry, repeat steps as necessary to layer the additional elements. Allow to dry.
7. Use the provided adhesive squares to adhere the gumdrop buttons to the surface and secure the scarf in place.
Our basic instructions go like this: choose a surface and Transfer, add some paste or ink, and start creating. With the Best Basics Chalk It Up Kit, you’ll have what you need to carry out those instructions and you’ll be well on your way to artistry!
This kit includes two of our favorite surfaces: Board & Base (perfect for A-sized Transfers) and a Sylvie White Frame (perfect for B-sized Transfers). Bark: foot and top of boot Couture Coral: flowers and greenery
Shimmer Melon: paneling on boot
Instructions
1. Cut the individual elements from your Transfer to ease the application process. Do not cut along or close to the edge of any element.
2. Knead the Chalkology Paste Singles. Cut the paste singles open and squeeze the desired amount of paste onto a Color Tray, using a new tray for each color.
3. Begin by removing the Transfer Backer Sheet from the Transfer element (labeled A1) and “fuzz” the Transfer element on a Fuzzing Cloth. Place the Transfer element on the Chalkable Shape, paying close attention to its placement on the shape. Smooth out the Transfer element to ensure that it has properly adhered and there are no bubbles or wrinkles.
4. Generously apply paste (see “Color and Placement Suggestions”) over the Transfer element (labeled A1). Before the paste dries, remove the Transfer element.
5. Once the paste has dried, place the Transfer element with the remaining layer of the boot (labeled A2) over the chalked section, again paying close attention to its placement on the shape.
6. Repeat steps as necessary until both Transfer elements of the boot design have been chalked on the coordinating shape. Allow time to dry.
7. Use Couture Coral paste to chalk the flowers and greenery elements to your surface, allowing space for the boot shape beneath them. Follow the steps above for “fuzzing” the Transfer elements and applying paste.
8. Immediately clean all Transfer elements with cool water (do not let them soak). Dry the Transfer elements flat with the sticky side up. Once dry, reapply the Transfer Backer Sheets and store flat.
9. Adhere Adhesive Magnets to the back of the Chalkable Shape and place it on your frame’s surface.

Follow these instructions to complete this project:
1. Knead your Chalkology Paste Singles. Cut the paste singles open and squeeze the desired amount of paste onto a Color Tray, using a new tray for each color.
2. Remove the Transfer Backer Sheet and “fuzz” the Transfer on a Fuzzing Cloth. Center the Transfer on the Pallet Sign; smooth out the Transfer to ensure that it has properly adhered and there are no bubbles or wrinkles.
3. For best results when applying paste, divide your project into sections and use the chalk-and-pull method. To perform this method, apply paste one section at a time (see “Color and Placement Suggestions”) using a squeegee or Multi-Tool. Once you have chalked a section, and before the paste dries, peel back the Transfer (without removing it from the surface completely) and let the paste dry before continuing. You can use a Quick Dry Tool to expedite the drying process. Lay the Transfer back down over the chalked section.
4. Repeat steps as necessary until the design has been completely chalked. Remove your Transfer from the surface and immediately clean the Transfer with cool water (do not let it soak). Dry the Transfer flat with the sticky side up.
5. Allow the Transfer to dry completely before using it again to apply paste to your Chalkable Shape (chalk-and-pull method is not needed).
6. Clean and care for the Transfer again, according to the instructions given in step 4. Once dry, reapply the Transfer Backer Sheet and store flat.
7. Use hot glue to adhere the Chalkable Shape to the Pallet Sign, directly over top of where you chalked its corresponding element on the surface.
