My 2021 Halloween 3 Tiered Tray // Come see what I use to create it! // Come Craft with me!

Halloween is one of my top 3 favorite holidays of the year. I search out for new and fun items to decorate the house with. And I always love creating and styling my Halloween 3 Tiered Tray every year. I have found a lot of great Rae Dunn Halloween mugs too, so I couldn't wait to use those.  Come see how I decorated my 3 Tiered Tray!

Top Tray

Starting from the left, I have the Sarah Sanderson Funko Pop that I bough from Amazon last year. Behind Sarah is a candy corn colored small brush tree that I got from Target this year. They came in a pack of 2. Then in front of the Tree is a Johanna Parker Pumpkin Salt Shaker. It comes in a set of 2 items and came from Marshalls. This was the 1st time finding anything Johanna Parker! I was so excited!! Behind the Pumpkin is my black BOO Rae Dunn Mug that I bought from Facebook Marketplace. Inside of the mug is a vintage candy corn that I bought years ago at the Lodi Street Faire. It's one of my favorite decorations for Halloween. The Halloween beaded garland starts of the top tray and the pumpkin is hanging from the handle of the BOO mug.

Middle Tray

Starting from the left, I have a Rae Dunn Halloween Mug. Inside of the mug is a Rae Dunn Spooky black spatula. Hanging from the spatula is a the Pumpkin Tag from my Etsy shop. In front of the Halloween mug is another Vintage candy corn. In the middle of the tray is a Mary Sanderson Funko Pop that I bought off of Amazon. On the right of Mary is my Purple Hocus Pocus Rae Dunn Mug. I bought it off of Facebook Marketplace. Hanging next to the Hocus Pocus mug is the October 31st Tag from my Etsy Shop.  The Halloween beaded garland lays across the front of the middle tray.

Bottom Tray

On the left, I have a Lime Green Toxic Rae Dunn mug that I bought from Facebook Marketplace. Inside is a Velvet orange pumpkin that I bought from the Target Dollar Spot. In front of the Toxic mug is another vintage candy corn. It is the last of the set of 3. In the middle is the leader of the pack, Winifred Sanderson, who is flying on her brookstick. To the right of Winifred is another candy corn colored brush tree. I bought these in a set of 2 at Target. A little behind the tree is a Fright Night Rae Dunn mug that I bought at Home Goods. Inside the Fright Night mug is a Trick or Treat orange Rae Dunn Spatula. It's kind of hidden. Handing off that spatula is a Boo Tag from my Etsy Shop. We finish off the bottom tray with the end of the Halloween Beaded Garland.

On the left of the 3 Tiered Tray

Closest to the 3 tiered tray is a Happy Halloween Pumpkin Orange Rae Dunn candle. Sitting inside of the candle is the Halloween Owl pepper shaker from Johanna Parker. This was in a set that I got from Marshalls. To the left of that is a DIY Pumpkin Cook Book Stand that I made using Chalk Couture items! It's one of my favorites that I have made. In front is a Eat Up Witches Rae Dunn Tray that I found at Home Goods. I feel that it fits well with the Hocus Pocus Witches.

Chevron Pumpkin Shelf Leaner is now in my Etsy Shop // Go check it out!

I just added the Chevron Pumpkin Shelf Leaner to my Etsy Shop! It's so cute and can be used for Fall and Halloween.

This comes with 2 options: Painted by me or buy as a DIY Kit.

If you buy it painted by me, it comes with a Matte Black Round Base with a Chevron print scored into it. Then there is a Orange Pumpkin placed in the middle of the base, giving it a 3D feel.

If you buy the DIY Kit, you get each piece unfinished. That way you can paint it whatever colors you want to match your home decor. The Round Base is blank on the back. The pumpkin has an adhesive with a peel off backing so its easy to adhere onto the base. That means you don't have to worry about glue! I've got you covered! There is also 2 sponges include to paint each piece. Using a sponge to apply paint is an easy way and it leaves it without brush strokes. Paint is not included but can be purchased cheap at Target, Walmart, Amazon, Hobby Lobby, Joanns, Michaels or any craft store. You can even you paint from around the house!

These pieces are shelf leaners, which means they are meant to lean against something. It could lean on a 3 tiered tray or on a mantle. The possibilities are endless.

Check them out here:

Here are the 2 options: Painted and DIY Kit.

The Painted Finished item is painted matte black with a chevron patterned. Then finished off a orange pumpkin on top. This item is 4.227" wide by 4.259" length. It has a 1/4" total height.

Teacher's Influence // DIY Back to School crafts // Come craft with me!

So I have been using Chalk Couture for a while now. I also had my eye on a Glowforge for quite a while and then finally ordered one a few months ago. I have seen people use a combination of both Chalk Couture and cut outs from a Glowforge. I think that's what pushed me to get a Glowforge, and to use them together, and get a really custom feel to my crafts.

So I finally created something specifically for a Chalk Couture Transfer! I used the Teacher's Influence Transfer (retired) and cut out an Apple shape with my Glowforge. It was actually really easy to do.

Come see how I used this in my Back to School 3 Tiered Tray: Click Here!

Come see how I made this!

Step 1: Design the Apple cut out. I use my Silhouette Business Edition software to do this. And since I have the upgraded software, I can save them into SVG's, which is needed for the Glowforge to be able to cut the design.

Step 2: Place the Chalk Couture Transfer inside the Glowforge. It will scan the transfer so you will know what size you will be the cut out to be.

Step 3: Upload the design into the Glowforge App and size it according to the size of the transfer. Once you find the perfect size, take the transfer out and replace with preferred material. I used MDF, which is a smooth wood material. It's easy to paint and is so smooth.

Step 4: Hit the print button and watch the magic happen! I love watching it work!

Step 5: Once cooled, take out Apple Cut out out. Get all your paint supplies ready.

Step 6: I love to lay my projects on a masking material so it doesn't move around while painting. I use the masking on wood products that need a little protection while using the laser.

Step 7: I used black paint and applied it with a sponge. I'm telling you that this is a game changer! It goes on like butter! So easy to do and clean up is pretty easy. You can either wash sponge and let air dry or you can wait for the section on paint to dry on it and then cut it off. I have used makeup wedge sponge so many times by cutting them up!

Step 8: Once the paint is dry, it's time to chalk! Grab you Chalk Pastes and give them a good stir. Add in some distilled water if needed but then new Chalk Pastes are amazing! Grab your transfer and a Fuzzing Cloth and fuzz well. I mean REALLY FUZZ! Use the back courser side of needed. You don't want to pull any paint off the Apple cut out.

Step 9: Lay your fuzzed transfer down and start applying you Chalk Paste to the transfer. I used 2 different Chalk Pastes colors.

Step 10: Once you are done applying Chalk Paste, lift transfer up and wash it well. Let air dry and once dry, replace backer sheet

You are all done! Now it's time to show off your new DIY Teacher's Influence Apple you made!

It may seem like a lot of steps, but I promise it is really easy!

Are you excited for your kids to go back to school?

I know I am!
