Summer 3 Tiered Tray- My last summer time project

Last week, I posted that I had one more project to complete for my Summer time projects. I have had this project on the back burner for a long time. Every time I looked at my 3 tiered tray in my kitchen, I knew that I needed to complete it. I knew it would take some time to complete, and with 3 kids, i just didn't have the time. Until one day I just sat down and did it. What my 3 tiered tray was missing was a beach colors wooded bead garland.  I had been buying different paints in blue shades, I had already bought the wood beads and the twine.

I was so excited to finally complete this project. I was actually a lot easier and faster to make than I thought. I probably only took about an hour to make and maybe 20 minutes to string and make the tassels. Not bad for a customer bead garland that matches my beach and ocean decor. My house normally has a beach feel most of the time.  If you know me, I love the ocean. My favorite color is ocean. I would move to the beach in a heartbeat!

So here is my Summer 3 tiered tray- just in time for the end of Summer!

Did you have any Summer projects? OR maybe you are waiting until Summer is just about over. Let me know! I would love to hear all about it!

What is Chalk Paste? Plus my favorite 5 Paste colors!

Did you know that Chalk Couture has a current stock of 44 Paste colors? Thats a ton! You can create so much with a palette of colors that big! You can even mix them to make an even more customer shade of paste.

So what is Chalk Paste?
Chalkology Paste is specially formulated for use with Chalk Transfers and Chalk Couture surfaces.

What can I put Chalk Paste on?
Chalkology Paste can also be applied to other nonporous surfaces such as mirrors, windows, glass, painted walls, and painted furniture. Hard, matte finish when dry.

How can I remove Chalk Pastes?
While you can chalk anything, Chalk Paste doesn't come off porous surfaces as easy. But while using nonporous surfaces such as mirrors, windows, glass, painted walls, and painted furniture with some distilled water and a board eraser. There is always a Paste Scraper that helps take it off easily.

How long does a 3 oz. jar of paste last?
A long time! When pasting a normal size project, you are not using too much paste. And once you are done pasting, you put the extra back into that jar. It's amazing how little paste you need to complete a project.

Can you mix chalk paste together?
YES! This give you just about an unlimited palette of colors that you can make. Want to match your homes colors scheme- you can do it! That's what makes chalk paste so special- you can customize you projects to what works for you!

What maintenance does chalk paste need?
Paste is easy to keep up. When ever you open a jar to use, stir it well. If it feels a little dry, spray some distilled water into it. Spray a little at a time, then stir. Repeat until you get the consistency you want. Before closing jar, give it one more stir. Make you you only use distilled water.

August Club Couture- Rise Up!

A sweet Irish sentiment is the perfect way to start any journey. We think you'll adore this month's Club Couture™ design: Rise Up. Includes Paste Singles (.19 US fl. oz.) Couture Coral, Tide, and Ocean Mist. Join Club Couture today and receive this lovely Transfer this month only!

Supplies Needed

-Club Couture Transfer: Rise up

-Chalkology Paste Singles: Couture Coral, Tide, Ocean Mist

-Tools: Mini Squeegee (2), Small Squeegee, Color Trays, and Fuzzing Cloth

-Surface: Double-Sided Box Frame (9" × 12")

Color and Placement for Club Couture

1. Frame: Ocean Mist

2. “May the road” and “to meet you”: Couture Coral

3. “Rise up”: Tide

Follow these instructions to complete the Club Couture project:

1. Prepare your Chalk Transfer by removing it from the packaging.

2. When you remove the backer from the Transfer screen, be sure to “fuzz” it to gentle the adhesive by sticking the adhesive screen to a Fuzzing Cloth or terry cloth towel to pick up a bit of lint before applying it to your board.

3. Position the Transfer and smooth to adhere to your surface, ensuring there are no bubbles.

4. Prepare each Chalkology Paste by kneading the packet, tearing off the corner, and squeezing the desired amount onto one of your Color Trays or another palette surface. Stir paste if using 3 US fl. oz. jar.

5. Use a generous amount of Chalkology Paste on the Squeegee and smooth it over the Transfer (see color and placement suggestions below) according to your color preferences for each element of the design.

6. Once the screen portion of the design is completely covered, squeegee the excess paste off as evenly as possible and scrape unused paste back into the jar or palette. The more excess paste you remove, the better the result.

7. Use the “chalk-and-pull” method as needed to carefully pull back the top part of the Transfer (with wet paste) before it dries. Carefully lay the Transfer back down on your surface and continue with other elements.

8. When finished, slowly peel back the Transfer before the paste dries and immediately put it in water to clean thoroughly.

9. Once clean, let dry with the sticky side up.

10. Once all the Transfer elements are clean and dry, reapply all backers and store flat.

Autumn Skies & Pumpkin Pies - Easy, Quick home decor in minutes

Are you ready for fall? I know I am! I love everything about Fall. The cooler nights, pumpkin spice EVERYTHING, the leaves falling and the snuggles of my family.

I am in love with this Autumn Skies and Pumpkin Pies Transfer. This is a great size and I even think I might make some tea towels too!

Want to make this?

Supplies Needed:

Step 1
Get all your supplies together and lay them out. Open your pastes and stir them well.

Step 2
Fuzz your transfer before placing it on the surface.

Step 3
To get this ombre look, chalk the top half with the Bright White Paste and the bottom half with Papaya. Leave a small gap between the two colors. With your pointer finger, smudge the two colors together in the small gap until they are well blended.

Step 4
Peel off transfer and wash place in water bath or wash right away. Lay transfer upside down to dry. Apply backing once the transfer is dry. Store in a dry, cool location.

Watch this video to see a quick way to make this!
