DIY Cook Book Stand- My new fall favorite home decor!

When I saw the Pumpkin Patch transfer, I fell in love! I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. I wanted to put in on everything - pillows, shirts, wall art- and everything else! So when I found this Vintage looking tablet stand - I knew it was going to be perfect! Best part is that when I saw it, i didn't know it was a tablet stand, I just thought was a cook book stand. I can use it for both! 

Well I want too show you how to make it! It was so easy and only took 10 minutes to make - including clean up! 

Supplies Needed:

Galvanized Metal Tablet Stand- From Hobby Lobby 

Pumpkin Patch Transfer - B Size

Shimmer Shadow Paste

Orange Peel Paste 

Fuzzing Cloth

Stir Sticks

2 Small Squeegees

Step 1

Gather all your supplies. You are going to want to have them all in arms length. Stir your paste - you don't want to have to stop after your 1st color to stir the next. 

Step 2

Fuzz fuzz FUZZ your transfer! You want to make sure its not too sticky and have a hard time removing it from the stand. 

Step 3

Apply your transfer on the stand how you would like it. I made sure to have it go more to the top since I didn't want to not be able to see the bottom part of the transfer. I didn't want to lose out on the cute arrow! 

Step 4

Using the Shimmer Shadow Paste, Paste the top words and bottom arrow 1st. Put any extra pasta back into the jar.  Use the Paste and Pull Method. Lift up just long enough to dry and carefully lay them back down. 

Step 5

Using the Orange Peel Paste, Paste the entire pumpkin area. Put any extra pasta back into the jar. 

Step 6

Lift the entire transfer and place into water bath for a short time or clean immediately. I like to clean all my transfers with a Board Eraser. It works like a charm and make the clean up process to easy! Once clean, lay flat with sticky side up. Once dry, Place backer paper onto the transfer.

You are all done and ready to show off your new Kitchen Stand! Use it for a Cook Book or a Tablet, either way, it will make your kitchen feel like Fall!

Step by Step Guide - May all those who enter leave as friends

Welcome guests to your home with a tender sentiment that will warm them through and through. 

Who doesn't love to enjoy time and laughs with friends? Well this transfer is perfect to make sure everyone feels welcome every time these visit your home. 

Want to make this? Ill show you how! 

Supplies

May All Who Enter Transfer  - 12" x 18"

Couture Boutique™ Board Odette Black Frame (White, 12" x 18")

Chalkology™ Paste Black Velvet

Chalkology™ Paste Shimmer Gold

Fuzzing Cloth (12" x 18")

Stir Stick

2 small Squeegee

**Best part about these supplies is that one you buy them, you can use them over and over with other projects! 

Step 1

Get everything you need into your work area. Open up and stir your pastes so they are ready to go. 

Step 2

Fuzz your transfer.

Step 3

Lay your transfer down in the position you would like it on the Odette Black Frame.

Step 4

Start with the Black Velvet Paste and cover all the words except FRIENDS.

Step 5

Paste the work FRIENDS in Shimmer Gold Paste.

Step 6

Remove the transfer and either place in water bath or clean immediately. Once clean let dry. Once dry, please backer back on the sticky side of the transfer. 

Viola! You are have new piece to hand in your house and make to have everyone feel welcome while visiting your home!

The Transfer Vault is opening again on August 3rd!!

Yes--- The Vault is opening and is bring back 5 retired transfers. You heard me right! 

But what is the Transfer Vault? Retiring our Chalk Transfer designs is an important part of keeping our inventory fresh, relevant, and on-trend, but we know sometimes it’s hard to say goodbye to your favorites. Releasing strategic, retired designs from the “Transfer Vault” is an opportunity for you purchase select designs again—and if you’re new to Chalk Couture, the Vault means you can get them for the first time! Releases will typically include between three and six top, previous designs—available in a limited quantity, for a limited time. 

When will Transfer Vault designs be released? The Chalk Couture vault opens twice per year, typically in late spring and early autumn (we aim for May and August, but check timely updates from Chalk Central to be sure when a Transfer Vault release is coming!) 

How can we get them? Transfer Vault releases will be available through the “Specials and Deals” tab in your Designer Office and on your Chalk Site. 

Will there be a limit to how many I can order?

 Yes, each Transfer design will have a limit of five at launch. This limit may be lifted, depending on demand.  

How long will the Transfer Vault designs be available? 

Limited quantities will be released of each design, so they are only while supplies last. The Transfer Vault closes when special order quantities are exhausted or typically a month after release, whichever comes first.

August Club Couture- Rise Up!

Supplies Needed

-Club Couture Transfer: Rise up

-Chalkology Paste Singles: Couture Coral, Tide, Ocean Mist

-Tools: Mini Squeegee (2), Small Squeegee, Color Trays, and Fuzzing Cloth

-Surface: Double-Sided Box Frame (9" × 12")

Color and Placement for Club Couture

1. Frame: Ocean Mist

2. “May the road” and “to meet you”: Couture Coral 

3. “Rise up”: Tide

Follow these instructions to complete the Club Couture project:

1. Prepare your Chalk Transfer by removing it from the packaging.

2. When you remove the backer from the Transfer screen, be sure to “fuzz” it to gentle the adhesive by sticking the adhesive screen to a Fuzzing Cloth or terry cloth towel to pick up a bit of lint before applying it to your board.

3. Position the Transfer and smooth to adhere to your surface, ensuring there are no bubbles.

4. Prepare each Chalkology Paste by kneading the packet, tearing off the corner, and squeezing the desired amount onto one of your Color Trays or another palette surface. Stir paste if using 3 US fl. oz. jar.

5. Use a generous amount of Chalkology Paste on the Squeegee and smooth it over the Transfer (see color and placement suggestions below) according to your color preferences for each element of the design.

6. Once the screen portion of the design is completely covered, squeegee the excess paste off as evenly as possible and scrape unused paste back into the jar or palette. The more excess paste you remove, the better the result.

7. Use the “chalk-and-pull” method as needed to carefully pull back the top part of the Transfer (with wet paste) before it dries. Carefully lay the Transfer back down on your surface and continue with other elements.

8. When finished, slowly peel back the Transfer before the paste dries and immediately put it in water to clean thoroughly.

9. Once clean, let dry with the sticky side up.

10. Once all the Transfer elements are clean and dry, reapply all backers and store flat.
