Happy New Years! I am so happy to have 2020 over! Last year was unlike any other year before. There were ups and downs, but we came out stronger than ever. Between working a ton with my normal job, Safety Supervisor and UPS, becoming a teacher to my 2 older kids in elementary school, and trying to keep my household running smoothly.
This school year has been challenging with the kids changing to a new school, all while never setting foot into their new classrooms. My kids have never met their new classmates. But each of my kids have amazing teachers! Kellan has Mr. Baker and has been such a positive change from our teacher last year. From what I have heard, Mr. Baker is the most wanted 5th grade teacher! Kellan is so happy to have him and has gotten all 3's & 4's this year! Kellan has done great at distance learning, but wants to be back in the classroom. Arley has Mrs. Halligan and has loved her new teacher. Mrs. Halligan has always made sure to make Arley feel welcomed and loved. We are so happy with the kids teachers. Arley has struggled a little more with distance learning and keeping her stuff organized. We have had the helper from my Mom with helping Mason with preschool stuff and distance learning with all the kids! I don't know what we would do without her!
This year has been a learning experience with all of my creative endeavors. I have learned so much about Chalk Couture and love using it to decorate for every holiday and everyday home decor. It allows me to keep sane while dealing with all the stay at home orders.
Not sure what Chalk Couture is? Read all about it HERE!
After last year, we learned that whatever life throws at us, we can get through it. We may not like it, but we can grit our teeth, learn how to do new things (like home school), and come out stronger!
Did you set goals for yourself for 2021?
I did! I want to work on a few things in my life - personal and business!
1. Try to keep organized.
2. Get on my Peleton at least 3 days a week.
3. Dedicate more time to my business - Sara Nicole Designs!
These don't seem to crazy, so I am hoping to be able to stick to them.
