My Valentines Day Mantel // Come check it out!
This year it took me quite a while to take down my Christmas decorations. I was just so done with the Holidays and I wasn't looking forward to putting everything away. I want to say it took me 3 weeks into January before everything was put away. So I was in no hurry to decorate for Valentines day. I was more excited to create my Valentines 3 Tiered Tray (Click to read all about it).
I did have a few items that I was really excited to make from the Chalk Couture Winter Warm-Up Mini Launch. With 10 new Transfers, most Valentines related, I knew I could create some awesome items for my Mantel. Plus I have a few Valentines transfers from previous catalog launches, so I had my alot to pick from to create my mantel.
Come check out my Mantel!
4!
Lets start from left to right:
1st item on the Mantel is the Tile that I added scrapbook paper with Modge Podge. Once that dried, I used the Confection Candy Hearts Transfer. This is a great and easy craft to do with anyone!
2nd item is Large Magnetic Chalk Board that I found at Marshalls! This was a great find! and I knew that this would be great for the Wings to Fly Transfer. I used bright white and I loved how it turned out. Want to see how I made this: Click Here!
3rd Item is small wooden light pink block that says "Kiss Me". This block came in a 3 piece set from the Dollar Spot at Target for $3!
4th item is a Painted Wooden sign that I used the retired Love Heart Transfer in Bright White Chalk Paste.
5th item is a metal bike sign that I got at Hobby Lobby I think on clearance. It was just too cute to pass up!
6th item is the 2nd Pink "Love You" block from the 3 pack from the Dollar Spot at Target.
7th item is a large pink heart from the Dollar Tree that I painted light pink. Then I used the Hugs and Kisses Transfer on the heart in Candy Apple Red Chalk Paste.
8th item is a Red thick tag that says "XOXO" in white writing from Marshalls.
9th item is an Red sign that says "I Love You'. I bought this sign at Marshalls years ago. On the edges is has small red hearts.
10th item is the 3rd white block that says "Be Mine" from the 3 pack from the Dollar Spot at Target.
11th item- The banner hanging below that says "Happy Valentines". Ive had this for a few years and got it from the Dollar Spot in Target.
There you have my Valentines Day Mantel. 4 of the 11 items I made myself with Chalk Couture!

Wings to Fly // Come chalk with me!
I fell in love with the Wings to Fly transfer when I saw it in the Winter Warm-Up mini launch. It's such a great saying in a pretty font. I had found this pretty Magnetic Chalkboard at Marshalls in a great big size. It was such a great find! I have so many great ideas and the best part it's reusable! That's what I love about the Chalk Paste... Create- Remove - Recreate again! So once I received my shipment with Wings to Fly, I just knew they were perfect together.
This was an easy project to make. I actually had to make this twice. My 3 year old loves to hang out with me in my craft room. He's like my little chalking buddy who looks at all the fun items in my craft room. Since this is a large surface, I decided to sit on the floor and create it. After I chalked it, I pulled the transfer and went to wash it off. I didn't even think to lift it off the ground. After cleaning the transfer, which only took a few minutes, I walked back into my craft room to find that my little Mason had walked on it. He didn't even realize it. And when I said something, he felt so bad. I told his that I would easily remake it and not to worry! And then he gave me the biggest hug. These are the moments that mom's live for. After that, I just sprayed the chalkboard down, wiped it away and rechalked it again. It was just that easy! That's one reason that I love Chalk Couture Transfers are reusable.
Come see how I made it!

Check out my Valentines Day 3 Tiered Tray // Come chalk with me!
This year I had a great time creating my Valentines Day 3 Tiered Tray. I made a few more items with Chalk Couture to add from last year. I was so excited that I was able to find quite a few Valentines Rae Dunn Mugs. And after a few trips to Hobby Lobby and Target I knew I was set for all my Valentines Day Decor around the house. That was until I remember to look in the garage for my Valentines Day decor from the previous years. That was when I found 8 MORE Rae Dunn Mugs! Um.... so 14 mugs total! Don't tell my husband! I even have a double! Whoops! But I always say you can never have enough Rae Dunn... and Chalk Couture!
I start with a Wink Wink Rae Dunn Mug. Inside the Mugs, I placed a chalked shelf sitter with a XOXO mini transfer from the Sprinkled with Love Transfer. I also put 2 glitter hearts from Hobby Lobby. I bought a small white framed chalk board and added the XOXO and hearts from the Hugs & Kisses Transfer. I then placed that inside a red candle holder. To top it off, I used a red & White Bead Garland with a wooden heart.
I start with a Red XOXO Rae Dunn Mug on the left. Inside the Mug, I placed some more glitter hearts along with a heart cookie cutter. Then I added Couple Goals Rae Dunn Mug to the right. In front of the mugs is a wooden faux wooden roller pin that says "Made with Love" from Hobby Lobby. Hanging off that roller pin is a small wooden sign that says "You are Loved" from Hobby Lobby.
Tier 3
The bottom tier starts with a Heart Rae Dunn Mug to the left. Inside the mug is 2 spatulas - 1 white with XOXO's from Target and a Red with XOXO from Rae Dunn. Also inside the heart Mug is a glitter heart. In the Middle is a small pink bowl from Ikea. Inside the pink bowl is a shelf sitter with a chalk I "heart" You mini transfer from the Sprinkled with Love Transfer. On the right is the light pink Soul Mate Rae Dunn Mug with a few glitter hearts. I filled the bottom with Hersheys kisses.
On the right of the 3 Tiered Tray, I made a Valentines Tablet Holder with the Love Knows No Boundaries Transfer. I used 4 different pinks and I did the Ombre' effect to make the colors blend together!
To the left of the 3 Tiered Tray is a Pink sign that I painted with Pink paint and then used Black Velvet Chalk Paste with Love Brings Us Home Transfer that is retired.
In front of that is a box of yummy cookies from Target with a Shelf Sitter on top that I used the February 14th mini transfer from the Sprinkled with Love Transfer. This transfer is currently in the Last Change Section so once its gone, its gone for good! I really love this transfer!

December Club Couture - Welcome
Welcome to Club Couture! We hope you feel the warmth and kindness of this month’s Transfer. There are so many ways you can use this! Swap out the “o” in “Welcome” with the floral image, accent with additional foliage as desired, or vary your surface to best fit the space that calls to you. This month’s Club Couture subscription includes Chalkology Paste singles in warm tones—Storm, Guava, and Peachy Keen—but we can picture you using another mixture of colors for any sass, spunk, or class you want to add.
Supplies Needed
Club Couture Transfer: Welcome
Surface: Double-Sided Box Frame (6" × 18")
Chalkology Paste Singles: Guava, Peachy Keen, Storm
Tools: Multi-Tool, Small Squeegee, Transfer Trimmers, Color Trays, Fuzzing Cloth, Placement Tape
Color and Placement Suggestions
Storm: Letters and accent foliage Guava: Large flower
Peachy Keen: Flower center
Follow these instructions to complete this project:
1. Remove your Transfer from its packaging.
2. Cut along the Transfer’s provided cut lines to separate the elements.
3. Carefully peel off the Transfer Backer Sheet of the element you’re using first.
4. “Fuzz” the Transfer element by gently pressing onto a Fuzzing Cloth and carefully pulling it upward to collect a bit of lint (this helps to more easily remove the Transfer from the surface after you’ve applied the paste.
5. Centering top to bottom, position the “WELCO” part of the Transfer near the left side of the board, and the “ME” near the right side; leave sufficient space between the Transfer pieces to use the floral image in place of the “O”. Smooth out each element to adhere, ensuring there are no bubbles.
6. Knead each Chalkology Paste Single, open the corner, and squeeze the desired amount onto a Color Tray, using a new tray for each color.
7. Use a generous amount of Chalkology Paste on your squeegee and smooth it over each letter of the Transfer, skipping the “O” in “Welcome” (see “Color and Placement Suggestions”).
8. Once the screen portion of the design is completely covered, squeegee the excess paste off as evenly as possible and scrape it back into the tray. The more excess paste you remove, the better the result will be.
9. Before the paste dries, slowly peel back the Transfer. To prevent any stretching in the Transfer, peel from two corners instead of peeling diagonally. Immediately clean the Transfer with cool water (do not let it soak).
10. Dry the Transfer flat with the sticky side up.
11. Once those chalked sections are dry, repeat steps 3–5 and 7–10 for the flower. Let the flower dry completely, then repeat for the flower’s center and the foliage piece (placing the foliage on the bottom right-hand side of the flower). When chalking the foliage piece, it may be helpful to cover the floral image with Placement Tape to keep from getting additional paste on your floral image (if pasted as we’ve shown, the foliage should appear as if it’s coming out from behind the flower).
12. Once all Transfer elements are washed and dried, reapply the Backer Sheet to each and store flat.
13. Relish your creation!
